Being a man of science, Stein sees everything in the world, including himself, as an experiment or specimen. This personality trait makes all those around him afraid of him. Stitching across his face suggests that he had worked on himself at one point. He is mad, but not in a raving or berserker fashion, instead he has absolutely no conscience of any kind. He has zero respect for human life and would go so far as to dissect a child if it suited his goals. To him, nothing it more important that satisfying his curiosity.

By resonating with one's own chakra the user can drive their own chakra directly into an opponent's body through a physical strike on them. This can cause strong direct and internal damage, it is even capable of damaging someone who is being protected by armor. It is enhanced by water as water conducts energy better than air does.
Tamashii Kanchi (Soul Perception) C Rank - Ninjutsu
A chakra detection jutsu, it allows the user to detect chakra with pinpoint precision, letting them be followed and tracked with realities ease.
Konshi Hōgō (Soul Thread Sutures) S Rank
By attacking an individual with his own chakra wavelength and using his own weapon as a focus, Stein is able to directly attack a persons chakra system, locking their movements and leaving them open for attacks. The target becomes covered in suture like stitches when the attack is active. It is also possible to use these stitches to thread the users own chakra system onto a surface, to hold themselves in place so as not to be pushed back or pulled forward by enemy attacks. It is necessary to have a weapon to be able to concentrate in order to maintain the stitching and to strengthen and control jutsu.
Nishō Kon'i: Sōsō (Double Palm Soul Force - Twin Spears) A Rank
This is a variation of the attack Soul Menace that instead makes use of both hands, rather than just one. The attack works using the same principle as its one handed version; that by resonating with one's own chakra, the user can drive their own chakra directly into an opponent's body through a physical strike on them, causing strong direct and internal damage. However, due to the inclusion of an extra hand, the attack's power is greatly amplified and able to incapacitate even strong opponents.

History:
Stein is, to put it bluntly, a madman. Born the only son of a poor family, Stein was repeatedly abused by his drunkard father. His mother, while kind to him, was far to cowardly to stand up to her husband or really protect her own child. As soon as he was able to walk on his own, the boy Stein explored, seeking relief from his life in pure learning. He loved school and discovering new things, feeling a sense of great accomplishment in that acclamation of knowledge. It was all sparked by a single question in his young mind, why did his father do this to him. It seemed that his father had no reason for being cruel to his own son, something Stein couldn't understand. He felt that maybe if he could figure it out his father wouldn't hate him anymore. So Stein learned all he could about everything, hoping that maybe he would learn the secret of his father hate.
It soon became an obsession, growing in him like a cancer. He wanted to know, had to know, he had no choice. The abuse never ended however, and one say his mother finally reached her breaking point. Driven to the brink of fear and desire by her husband but too weak willed to leave him, she killed herself, slitting her own wrists while in the bath. Stein found her a few hours later, most of her blood drained from her body and her bathwater died crimson. That sight was the tipping point for the child, pushing him over the edge from tortured soul to full insane. Taking a kitchen knife, he killed his sleeping father, dissecting him in the hopes of finding his answer. He found none but he would no longer be forced to suffer another beating by the man.
From that point on, gathering knowledge was the only purpose in Stein's life.He wanted to know everything, had to know, needed to know, no matter the cost to himself or others. As years passed he grew more and more powerful, altering his own body so he would be strong enough to take the knowledge he wanted. He became a wanted man, rumors of his insane experiments on the human body, both alive or dead became the stuff of nightmares. One of his most powerful experiments, was involving the study of elemental chakra manipulation on a small child by the name of Toko Akumu. However his triumph as ruined with the arrival of Kal Tokita and the boys parents. In the following fight, he killed both of Toko's parents but Kal was able to escape with the child, destroying the laboratory and loosing the research data, save for a few notes Stein had memorized.
He later joined the Collective as a means to gain the resources to continue his Research. It is rumored in the group that Stein had always been a member of the group but had chosen to remain in the shadows, know only to the leader. With the increase in activity, Stein became much more active in the group.

Blood - Replaced with a thick, viscous, black liquid that better carries oxygen and other body needs.
Heart - modified to deal with the increase in blood pressure and covered in seals to allow it to help regulate his his own inner chakra.

Kidneys, and Liver – moved mostly out of boredom.
