Momo has hanging out of her bag at all times a stuffed yellow cat, obviously very old and handmade, with a blank expression on its face and buttons for eyes, one long stitch going down the center of it. This doll is the heirloom of her family, whose history is filled with plenty of oddball shinobi, if not powerful ones. While not as expansive as a clan, their small size has made it easier for the members to stay in touch with one another, with Momo being especially close to her cousin Yuuki, looking up to him as though he were her brother.
Obviously, this doll is *more* than just a doll, and serves another purpose. When the holder of the doll is in a dangerous situation, it creates good luck for them, and bad luck for everyone else, making chance events or jutsu whose effects rely partly on chance or random effects swing in the favor of the doll's holder, and out of the favor of the jutsu's user. The doll also appears to be, on some level, sentient. For example, the doll recognizes who Momo's allies are, and thus doesn't jinx anybody who's on Momo's side. The doll also has the tendency to disappear, reappearing in places entirely different from where it was left, as though it can move of its own accord.
Back when Momo was still an inexperienced kunoichi, it was believed that this "Bad Luck" ability was actually Momo's own, and that her doll somehow made it easier for her to use her Kekkei Genkai, and as she grew stronger and more skilled at controlling her chakra and her abilities, it was made pretty clear that this was in fact the case. She's now in full control of her abilities, though she IS still growing, and has the ability to swing the winds of fortune in her favor, and cause extraordinarily unlikely chains of events to happen, much like a walking Rube Goldberg machine.
However, it's all luck - Momo could be hurt just as easily as her opponents could, making it somewhat risky even though the odds ARE increased in her favor. With her ability, she can do things like cause structural collapses, set a complicated chain of events into motion to hurt her enemies, cause sudden shifts in weather phenomena to produce lightning, cause collapses in tunnels and weakness in the ground, and so on and so forth... she makes all these things more likely to happen than they ever would be, normally.
Basically, her ability allows her to make everything around her, for lack of a better term, 'screw up', with even reality itself sometimes being turned on its head. Though she'll stubbornly deny it, she's still a kid at heart, and her fear when Jinx isn't with her causes her to panic and fend for herself, which inevitably causes her to lose control of her abilities, making her a danger to herself *and* everybody around her, enemy or ally...
Since she was a Genin, Jinx has had to help Momo control her abilities less and less, and its *true* nature has been shining through more and more... it's not just some strange family heirloom, but actually a living entity, akin to a summon animal. Though it can't do anything on its own, when Momo performs a special jutsu akin to Kuchiyose, the doll grows in size and uses its own jutsu and abilities. This is something Momo does rarely, however, and very few people outside of Yuuki and her close friends know Jinx's true nature.[/spoiler]
Personality: Momo is very cautious and very silent, rarely talking to people she doesn't know very well and shy around those she doesn't know at all. When she warms up to you, though, she reveals herself to be bright, cheery, outgoing, adventurous, and strikingly intelligent for her age, able to hold semi-deep conversations with those older than her.
Likes: Kitties, puppies, bunnies, all animals and cute things in general; sunny and windy days; falling asleep to the rain.
Dislikes: People who don't like animals or cute things; cloudy days; people who treat her like a little kid, and not like a shinobi.
Relationships: Cousin of Adachi Yuuki, though she looks up to him more like an older brother than a cousin. The two are extraordinarily close.
Strengths: Despite her young age , Momo has proven herself to be adept in Genjutsu, learning how to utilize the art of illusion through 4 of the 5 senses; she's deceptively smart, catching people off guard with her deep strategies and convoluted plans; she has a knack for Taijutsu, and is currently being trained in the art by her cousin Yuuki; she's relatively fearless.
Weaknesses: Momo is not a direct fighter - while she has some techniques made for combat so that she can defend herself, she is primarily a support-type, or somebody good with stealth and assassination; while she IS smart, she's still a little kid – her plans aren't foolproof; while proficient with Taijutsu and Genjutsu, she has only average ability in Ninjutsu.
Fighting Style: Momo is not a direct fighter, nor a front-lines type character. While she can handle her own up close with her dagger, she's more of a supportive shinobi than anything else. While she's not as great at improvising as her cousin is, she's been known to do so when the situation calls for some thinking outside of the box. Description: A kunai given to her by Yuuki, which has part of her favorite poem etched into one side, and a personal code etched into the other. Indecipherable without a key, which only Momo knows, she seems to hold the weapon in high regard, and uses it as opposed to any longer-range weapons like swords or ninjato. In fact, over the years, it's become less of a kunai, and something more akin to a dagger or trench knife, at least in the way she uses it. It's maintained fairly well by Yuuki, who sharpens it and repairs it every month for his little cousin.

This particular Genjutsu takes 3 hand-seals to use, and unlike most illusions, doesn't require one to make eye contact with any part of the caster. Rather, being a sound-based Genjutsu it radiates outward like a sort of pulse, broadcasting itself at frequencies that are ordinarily inaudible to the human ear.

Description: Probably Momo's strongest technique, when she was taught Genjutsu, she got the hang of it quickly, showing she had a future in the style. In fact, the first thing she did upon learning how to perform a Genjutsu was try to create her own... and the result was 'It's a Cat's World'. When cast, the afflicted will see cute, white kittens everywhere. On the trees, on the ground, flying in the sky to replace the clouds, even all over themselves. More of a distraction than anything, it turns Momo herself into a cute white cat with a black cat cap on her head, seemingly just sitting there enjoying the show, when she's really moving behind her opponent to attack them while they're in a confused state. It's a sight-based Genjutsu, trapping opponents if they look at Momo after she's performed the proper hand seals. Ranked A due to its strength, making it difficult to break unassisted.[/spoiler]

Description: Beginning to dabble in the medical arts as well, Momo has begun trying to create medical ninjutsu that'd let her be like her favorite healers in fantasy manga, casting a variety of spells from a distance to aide her comrades. Realizing she's more a support type than direct combat type, she decided to see if she couldn't apply those sorts of things to jutsu herself... and she succeeded. Though it's an incomplete technique, thus costing a lot more chakra than she'd like, "Cure" is essentially a mid-ranged healing technique. Condensing her chakra into a visible pink ball, she sends it to her comrades, and as it makes contact with them, it'll begin healing their wounds as though she were there standing over them and applying chakra directly through her hands.
This is a technique which requires tremendous amounts of chakra control, not to mention a fairly potent chakra. Momo's still yet to perfect it and it takes quite a bit out of her, and its effects are currently only of the C-Class.[/spoiler]

Misfortune Wave

Description: A violet wave of energy streaks forward with considerable speed, causing bad luck and misfortune for whoever or whatever it touches for a brief period of time. Using this on objects and weapons can cause them to malfunction or break, and on people, it can cause jutsu to backfire, sprains or other forms of injury, etc. The effects it has are largely random, and it may not even do anything at all - it's all effectively a coin toss.

Description: Momo's stuffed cat is more than just a stuffed cat. It's a sentient being, a creature akin to a summon animal, but not quite. It's long since been a part of the Adachi family and passed down through Yuuki's line, but he thought that Jinx would be better suited to aide his little cousin, Momo, as he couldn't use ninjutsu. Jinx's primary passive ability is to enhance the latent abilities of its master, in this case Momo, making it easier for them to master their Kekkei Genkai and learn the shinobi arts. Typically acting like a non-living entity and having no chakra signature until it's "summoned" by its master, it's actually quite powerful and very much alive.
When the doll's master performs the proper seals and bites their thumb as they would a summoning contract, Jinx can grow greatly in its size, becoming a large mid-sized summon animal with abilities connected to its master's as well some of its own.
Abilities: Jinx can mimic the Kekkei Genkai of its master. The Adachi family are known for having an abnormal amount of Kekkei Genkai amongst their lineage, and Jinx was designed to mimic whatever ability its current master has and then help it grow in strength. As such, Jinx has access to Momo's Kekkei Genkai, also called Jinx, as well as utilize Misfortune Wave.
Beyond this, Jinx's ability seems to have something to do with the long metallic 'threads' that look as though they stitch together its patchwork body, shooting them out to impale enemies and objects, or to grab hold of, cut, or deflect things, being just as easily moved as an arm or a leg and being more akin to sharp tentacles than anything.
Furthermore, Jinx has respectable strength and durability even though they look frail, and though they cannot speak, they seem to share a psychic connection with their master.[/spoiler]
History: Being as young as she is, Momo's life up to this point hasn't been very exciting or remarkable. However, she finished at the top of her class in the academy, and has since been waiting to be put in a team, training with her cousin in the meantime. She hopes to one day become one of Kumo's finest.
During the 3 years since the Azure Devil incident and the Fifth Shinobi World War, Momo has been a part of two separate squads that ultimately fell apart, spending most of her time training and sharpening her skills within the village as opposed to going out on missions. When cast, the afflicted will see cute, white kittens everywhere. On the trees, on the ground, flying in the sky to replace the clouds, even all over themselves. More of a distraction than anything, it turns Momo herself into a cute white cat with a black cat cap on her head, seemingly just sitting there enjoying the show, when she's really moving behind her opponent to attack them while they're in a confused state. It's a sight-based Genjutsu, trapping opponents if they look at Momo after she's performed the proper hand seals. Ranked A due to its strength, making it difficult to break unassisted.[/spoiler]

Description: Beginning to dabble in the medical arts as well, Momo has begun trying to create medical ninjutsu that'd let her be like her favorite healers in fantasy manga, casting a variety of spells from a distance to aide her comrades. Realizing she's more a support type than direct combat type, she decided to see if she couldn't apply those sorts of things to jutsu herself... and she succeeded. Though it's an incomplete technique, thus costing a lot more chakra than she'd like, "Cure" is essentially a mid-ranged healing technique. Condensing her chakra into a visible pink ball, she sends it to her comrades, and as it makes contact with them, it'll begin healing their wounds as though she were there standing over them and applying chakra directly through her hands.
This is a technique which requires tremendous amounts of chakra control, not to mention a fairly potent chakra. Momo's still yet to perfect it and it takes quite a bit out of her, and its effects are currently only of the C-Class.[/spoiler]

Misfortune Wave

Description: A violet wave of energy streaks forward with considerable speed, causing bad luck and misfortune for whoever or whatever it touches for a brief period of time. Using this on objects and weapons can cause them to malfunction or break, and on people, it can cause jutsu to backfire, sprains or other forms of injury, etc. The effects it has are largely random, and it may not even do anything at all - it's all effectively a coin toss.

---Adachi Family Heirloom: Jinx the Cat---
Description: Momo's stuffed cat is more than just a stuffed cat. It's a sentient being, a creature akin to a summon animal, but not quite. It's long since been a part of the Adachi family and passed down through Yuuki's line, but he thought that Jinx would be better suited to aide his little cousin, Momo, as he couldn't use ninjutsu. Jinx's primary passive ability is to enhance the latent abilities of its master, in this case Momo, making it easier for them to master their Kekkei Genkai and learn the shinobi arts. Typically acting like a non-living entity and having no chakra signature until it's "summoned" by its master, it's actually quite powerful and very much alive.
When the doll's master performs the proper seals and bites their thumb as they would a summoning contract, Jinx can grow greatly in its size, becoming a large mid-sized summon animal with abilities connected to its master's as well some of its own.
Abilities: Jinx can mimic the Kekkei Genkai of its master. The Adachi family are known for having an abnormal amount of Kekkei Genkai amongst their lineage, and Jinx was designed to mimic whatever ability its current master has and then help it grow in strength. As such, Jinx has access to Momo's Kekkei Genkai, also called Jinx, as well as utilize Misfortune Wave.
Beyond this, Jinx's ability seems to have something to do with the long metallic 'threads' that look as though they stitch together its patchwork body, shooting them out to impale enemies and objects, or to grab hold of, cut, or deflect things, being just as easily moved as an arm or a leg and being more akin to sharp tentacles than anything.
Furthermore, Jinx has respectable strength and durability even though they look frail, and though they cannot speak, they seem to share a psychic connection with their master.[/spoiler]
History: Being as young as she is, Momo's life up to this point hasn't been very exciting or remarkable. However, she finished at the top of her class in the academy, and has since been waiting to be put in a team, training with her cousin in the meantime. She hopes to one day become one of Kumo's finest.
During the 3 years since the Azure Devil incident and the Fifth Shinobi World War, Momo has been a part of two separate squads that ultimately fell apart, spending most of her time training and sharpening her skills within the village as opposed to going out on missions. She still looks forward to maybe permanently joining a team of some sort in the future, but for right now at least, she's comfortable where she is...
